About this package
web cockpit for running Ansible playbooks from a portable service node NUC Cockpit turns an Ubuntu Server box into a portable Ansible console: engineers connect their laptops to its isolated Wi-Fi access point and use an HTTPS web interface to upload inventories, playbooks and distribution files, check host reachability and run playbooks with live output. . A text-mode utility (nuc-cockpit-setup) configures wired interfaces and VLANs, the Wi-Fi access point, the TLS certificates and the web administrator account, and prepares the system for unattended field use: persistent partitions for settings and data, no swap, logs in RAM and a read-only root filesystem (overlayroot).
